Lab Testing, Purity & Variance

Do you test your products?
Yes. Batches are submitted for independent analysis by accredited third-party laboratories, principally Janoshik Analytical. Testing commonly uses HPLC, with additional methods where required. Reports are lot-specific, so match the report to the lot number on the product.
How close to the label should the amount be?
Our standard is within 10% either side of the labeled amount. Results outside that range are held and reviewed before release.
Is purity reported the same way for peptides?
No. Lyophilized peptides are reported as an exact purity figure. Blends are assessed by identity and content of each component because a single percentage would describe the mixture rather than each compound.
What do the lab reports actually measure?
They measure purity—how much of the material is the compound—and content—how much compound is present compared with the label. A batch must pass both.
Where does the 10% figure come from?
It follows the 90–110% acceptance range described by USP chapters <905> and <795>. We voluntarily apply this published pharmaceutical-grade benchmark to research compounds.
Why do capsules vary more than raw powder?
Capsules distribute small amounts of active compound through filler, so individual units vary slightly around the average. The whole batch remains subject to the same specification.
Why do some certificates show 98%+ instead of an exact number?
Some laboratories report purity in bands. In that format, 98%+ is the highest band and means the sample measured between 98% and 100%.
Why does published lab data matter?
Mislabeling in the online research-compound market is documented. Publishing unadjusted, batch-specific reports lets researchers verify identity, purity and content themselves.
Why isn't the result exactly 100%?
Synthesis, drying, weighing, blending, filling and instrument accuracy all introduce small real-world variation. Results are published as the laboratory issues them.
